Abstract

El deporte es constante reto a la capacidad humana, un componente de la cultura, camino a la amistad y a la comunicación entre los pueblos, espectáculo movilizador de multitudes, dimensión de la ética, componente de lo estético y, finalmente, negocio floreciente y degradante de sus principios humanistas y progresistas. En Cuba el movimiento deportivo tiene en su base a toda la población, porque el deporte es un derecho del pueblo. Como dijo Fidel el 22 de septiembre de 1988,…” El deporte es instrumento de salud, de bienestar, de felicidad para el ciudadano”.
