Abstract

El trabajo que se presenta es uno de los resultados del Proyecto “Gestión de Contenido para la Comunidad que se desarrolla en la Universidad de Cienfuegos, en los momentos actuales es un reto para las bibliotecas brindar servicios que satisfagan las exigencias de los usuarios. Con este fin se han ido desarrollando herramientas y tendencias que facilitan el trabajo a estas instituciones. La biblioteca de la Universidad de Cienfuegos, haciendo uso de estas facilidades, creó una plataforma que permite manejar adecuadamente la información y brinda a los usuarios grandes ventajas. Se caracteriza por el tratamiento didáctico en el acceso a los documentos depositados en ella, lo que garantiza obtener con eficiencia todo el patrimonio docente y científico de la comunidad universitaria.
