Abstract

El presente artículo aborda el período etáreo de la Tercera Edad con sus matices peculiares, considerando al adulto mayor como individuo en proceso de elaboración de cambios y de surgimiento de nuevas formaciones, es decir, como sujeto en desarrollo. A su vez, se considera la importancia del manejo adecuado del mundo emocional para solucionar satisfactoriamente los problemas que se presentan en esta etapa y afrontar exitosamente los retos que se plantean en la vida cotidiana del adulto mayor.
