Fuentes Escritas, Orales E Iconográficas De La Arqueología Industrial

Abstract

Para que la arqueología industrial se introduzca en la explicación de la sociedad industrial, de su génesis y desarrollo es necesario que no limite su estudio al monumento y diversifique sus fuentes de información, de esa manera conseguirá enriquecer el discurso histórico, incorporando a él a las clases subalternas y sus modos de vida y trabajo. Una de esas fuentes tiene que ser las fuentes escritas. La información literaria y la investigación arqueológica no son contradictorias, sino complementarias, de hecho el recurso a ellas (junto a otras como las iconográficas, orales, etc.) resulta imprescindible para conseguir la mera descripción del monumento . Su importancia aumenta además cuando se trata de considerar obras ya desaparecidas.
