Abstract

La novela dominó la literatura inglesa durante la época victoriana. Es una obviedad que cualquier estudio que haga referencia a la literatura victoriana tiene que alabar los logros de los novelistas victorianos y su influencia en la sociedad de la época. Sus novelas se consideran obras maestras de la literatura que deleitaron a sus contemporáneos y que siguen deleitando a la sociedad de hoy en día, como así lo demuestra el hecho de que la sociedad actual sigue leyendo y demandando libros de la época victoriana.
