Una Nueva Visión De Las Bibliotecas Universitarias En El Contexto Actual

Abstract

Las Bibliotecas Universitarias se están enfrentando a nuevos desafíos en su gestión, provocados entre otras causas por los cambios en los sistemas de la Educación Superior que condicionan otras formas de enseñaza y aprendizaje. En este contexto se requieren adecuar los métodos y estilos de trabajo de estas instituciones que por siglos han contribuido a la educación y a la formación de nuevos conocimientos. Sobre estos temas versará el siguiente trabajo que pretende dar una panorámica de los retos a los que se enfrentan las bibliotecas universitarias y su necesaria conversión en Centros para el Aprendizaje y la Investigación. Muy especialmente se aborda el contexto de estas en el Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior, y el tema de la calidad y la evaluación. Por último se ofrecen algunas consideraciones finales sobre los temas abordados.
