Breve Historia De La Protección Del Patrimonio Industrial

Abstract

La falta de sensibilización y las presiones por parte de los intereses especulativos e inmobiliarios han hecho y hacen que cada día desaparezcan más edificios de carácter industrial que además sufren las adaptaciones de los nuevos métodos tecnológicos y de producción. Fue en Inglaterra, a comienzos de los años sesenta, donde comenzó a desarrollarse un interés creciente por los restos físicos de la Revolución Industrial. Posteriormente (sobre todo en los años 70) el interés se irá extendiendo el resto de países europeos, en el caso español hay que esperar a la década de los ochenta para que se comiencen a dar los primeros pasos La preocupación por salvaguardar las huellas físicas del pasado industrial adquiere un carácter internacional con la creación en 1978 del TICCIH The International Comittee for the Conservation of de Industrial Heritage.
