Fundamentos De La Gestión Del Conocimiento

Abstract

Hacia la mitad del siglo XX, Estados Unidos tenía más del 50% del PBI (producto bruto interno) mundial. La demanda de productos estadounidenses en el país y en el exterior era tan grande que prácticamente cualquier producto podía encontrar un mercado. Hoy, la participación de Estados Unidos en el producto bruto interno mundial es de aproximadamente el 18 %. Aunque la "torta" es mucho más grande de lo que era, las empresas estadounidenses ya no dominan el mercado mundial. Existe una feroz competencia internacional por cada dólar de ganancia marginal. Una economía unificada, rápidamente globalizada por mejores comunicaciones y medios de transporte ofrece a los consumidores una opción de bienes y servicios sin precedentes y un desfile interminable de nuevas y mejores ofertas de compañías globales.
