La Situación Actual De La Lengua Española En El Mundo

Abstract

El artículo expone la importancia que está experimentando la lengua española en el escenario internacional. Para ello se ofrecen una serie de datos que nos reflejan el peso específico que el español tiene entre las primeras lenguas más importantes del mundo. Esta privilegiada situación se explica, en gran medida, por una serie de factores socioculturales e históricos que configuran nuestro idioma como uno de los más destacados en todos los ámbitos internacionales. El artículo se completa con datos de perspectivas de difusión de nuestra lengua, así como con la situación que ésta presenta tanto a nivel educativo y su enseñanza como segunda lengua en el mundo, como su presencia en las nuevas tecnologías de la información y la comunicación.
