Abstract

Qual seria a relação entre filosofia e política? Certamente a obra de Berten, Doutor em Filosofia pela Universidade Católica de Lovaina na Bélgica, é um grande texto sobre o tema. Partindo da premissa frustrada sobre a definição da essência do político, o filósofo lança mão de opostas abordagens para desenvolver sua obra. O autor, apresenta as questões que são dispostas para compreender na área da filosofia política, das quais assinalamos: qual a necessidade e quais os limites do poder? Como conciliar liberdade e igualdade? Que tipo de regime político devemos defender?
