Abstract

El fenómeno migratorio es tan antiguo como las sociedades humanas. Antes de que el hombre inventara la agricultura, grupos nómadas de cazadores y recolectores de frutos se entrometían en aquellos lugares que satisfacían sus necesidades básicas de supervivencia. En la actualidad, los flujos migratorios continúan; sin embargo, ahora el hombre no migra para cazar, sino para conseguir empleo, mejorar sus condiciones de vida, protegerse de las violencias directas y de la persecución política, o resguardarse de los desastres naturales.
