Abstract

Ante estas cuestiones, la primera evidencia con la que nos encontramos es la diversidad de respuestas; esto puede deberse a que ambos conceptos han sido objeto de estudio de disciplinas de naturaleza diversa. No sabemos en qué momento y circunstancias nació el lenguaje, nació esa facultad que el hombre tiene para comunicarse con sus semejantes, valiéndose de un sistema formado por el conjunto de signos lingüísticos y sus relaciones. No han sido pocos los investigadores que han tratado de despejar la incógnita, pero sus resultados no han pasado de ser más que meras especulaciones. No obstante, algunos han querido ver el cimiento del lenguaje hablado en los gritos de ciertas especies de animales.
