Abstract

Un aspecto de los más interesantes dentro de la historia de los viajes y que, hasta el momento, ha sido muy poco abordado desde la turismología es el análisis de aquellos viajes que se establecieron durante las situaciones de dominación colonial. Los sistemas de dominación económica dentro de los que se encuentra enmarcado éste tipo de viajes no se limitaron concretamente a un medio geográfico y un tiempo determinado. Aparatos de opresión colonial se observan dentro de distintas sociedades históricas, dado que el colonialismo no ha sido patrimonio de ninguna época o período en particular. Así como tampoco ha sido monopolio de una nación, estado, país, imperio o continente.
