Abstract

La imprenta y propiamente el periódico es uno de los medios masivos de comunicación más viejos, pero con cierta permanencia, el periódico permitió desarrollar en las comunidades imaginadas, sentimientos “nacionalistas” , desde el “Mercurio Volante” (que no era un periódico sino una hoja volante) en 1693 de Carlos de Sigüenza y Góngora, posteriormente la Gaceta de México en 1722 incorpora información religiosa, comercial, marítima, mineras, oficiales y sociales.
