Abstract

Respecto al tema de la democracia la bibliografía es inmensa, las referencias a autores que han tratado la cuestión serían igualmente muchas. No es nuestra intención pues, agotar todas las visiones ni todos los argumentos; nos hemos centrado en las características que nos parecieron más relevantes en la actualidad para la sociedad mexicana, así como las posiciones teóricas predominantes. Éstas últimas, en la mayoría de los casos tienen orígenes en sociedades ‘desarrolladas’ y proceden de circunstancias diferentes, por lo que en muchos casos por seguirlas al pie de la letra nos perdemos en el mar de ambigüedades sobre la realidad política nacional.
