Abstract

El acelerado desarrollo científico y la creciente importancia del conocimiento para la prosperidad de las naciones, ha ubicado a los procesos de generación de conocimientos en el centro de la atención. Este trabajo profundiza en uno de los procesos generadores de la masa crítica necesaria para producir el conocimiento, la formación de doctores en ciencias. Tiene como objetivo analizar el proceso de formación doctoral en gestión, señalar sus debilidades, incentivar el interés de los implicados por perfeccionarlo y a su vez, desmitificarlo. Las referencias compiladas de diversas fuentes nacionales e internacionales demuestran que existen problemas similares en todas partes y que solo la voluntad de todos los implicados permite alcanzar la meta y ser útiles a la economía y la sociedad.
