La enseñanza de la lectura en el currículo de la carrera de educación básica

Abstract

El presente artículo tiene por objetivo analizar las asignaturas relacionadas a la enseñanza de la lectura en la Educación Básica General. Para ello, se desarrollan en un sentido amplio los conceptos lectura y currículo; se exploran en el contexto nacional los diferentes resultados de lectura en las escuelas del país, los objetivos planteados por el Ministerio de Educación del Ecuador para el dominio de la lectura; y se analizan las mallas curriculares de diferentes universidades donde se forman docentes en Educación Básica. Este análisis documental e interpretativo servirá, además de ser un aporte conceptual, a la introspección para el replanteamiento de mejoras en el diseño curricular universitario.
