Abstract

La apropiación social del conocimiento y su transformación en innovación están llamadas a superar las brechas del desarrollo y a la transformación de las precarias condiciones de vida que afectan a los pueblos de América Latina. El objetivo de este trabajo es analizar la gestión de las políticas de ciencia, tecnología e innovación en el ámbito de las Instituciones de Educación Superior y su repercusión social. Este trabajo es el resultado de un proceso sistemático de indagación teórica respecto a la función social de la ciencia y su extensión a lo relacionado con la tecnología y la innovación y tomando como caso de estudio las actividades que se realizan en la Educación Superior en Cuba.
