Diagnóstico de la vinculación de la Universidad Técnica de Manabí (UTM) con la empresa y gobierno del Cantón Portoviejo

Abstract

En el actual siglo, la educación superior constituye un importante medio con que cuenta un país para promover su desarrollo y fortalecer su identidad nacional y autodeterminación. Sus tendencias y desafíos en los países en desarrollo, especialmente en los de América Latina, han sido objeto de análisis por numerosas organizaciones internacionales. En la Conferencia Mundial sobre la Educación Superior celebrada en París en el 2009, se abordó como tema principal “La nueva dinámica de la educación superior y la investigación para el cambio social y el desarrollo†. En tal sentido se ha puesto de manifiesto que la vinculación debe considerarse como uno de los pilares en los que se sustenta el funcionamiento de las universidades, propendiendo a crear condiciones para el desarrollo sostenible de la sociedad, en el marco de la cooperación con los sectores productivos y gobierno. Es por ello que la presente investigación tiene como objetivo: Caracterizar la situación actual del proceso de vinculación de la UTM con la empresa y Gobierno del Cantón Portoviejo.
