Valoración del nivel de competencias TIC en docentes universitarios

Abstract

La innovación tecnológica y abundancia de información que caracteriza a la época actual, marcada por el impacto que han tenido en la comunicación tanto individual, como grupal y social, ha provocado en cierta forma confusión y hasta incertidumbre en los procesos educativos. Se considera que la educación en esta era digital, requiere de aprendizajes de orden superior, para desarrollar hábitos intelectuales, prepararse para un escenario donde casi todo es más accesible, complejo, global, flexible y cambiante. En este trabajo se dan a conocer los resultados de una encuesta aplicada a profesores universitarios, los cuales entre otras cosas, indican que una competencia se desarrolla mediante la capacidad de integrar y ejercitar los conocimientos, habilidades y actitudes. Además se observa una correlación entre el conocimiento y el uso de las TIC. En cuanto a la competencia digital de los docentes, según la investigación realizada, se puede decir que a mayor conocimiento, mayor es el uso de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación en el aula.
