Abstract

O currículo escolar é um importante documento que guia os professores no processo educacional, sendo esta apenas uma das acepções de currículo que conhecemos atualmente. Durante o Mestrado em Educação nos dedicamos a pesquisar como um grupo de vinte professores conceituava currículo, questionando-os durante entrevistas audiogravadas “qual a importância do currículo?†. A partir de suas respostas, que foram transcritas e analisadas à luz da Teoria das Representações Sociais (TRS), chegamos à representação comum, que chamamos de Núcleo Central e seus sistemas periféricos. A conclusão foi de currículo como documento “norteador†indicando que a concepção destes sobre currículo, ainda remete à conceituação clássica, como documento oficial orientador do processo educativo, concepção esta estruturada historicamente e ainda muito presente no meio escolar.
