Abstract

La educación necesita de fuentes de información para su desarrollo eficiente. La enciclopedia al igual que el diccionario, obras de referencia por excelencia, es una fuente multidisciplinaria de información, en la cual se ha revisado, resumido y organizado el conocimiento humano y que pueden ser consultadas en diferentes soportes, ya sea papel o electrónico. En este trabajo se enuncian algunas enciclopedias en soporte electrónico que pueden ser consultadas en cualquier espacio educativo dotado de tecnología electrónica y con acceso a las Webs de Internet. La gestión de la información en la educación es favorecida por estas modernas tecnologías para compendiar el conocimiento.
