Abstract

La educación ambiental se considera como un eje fundamental a la hora de implementar estrategias para disminuir los impactos generados por las diferentes actividades que el hombre realiza a diario, por tal motivo un Proyecto Ambiental Escolar servirá a la comunidad educativa del Instituto San Carlos de la Salle, para promover y fortalecer la educación ambiental. Objetivo: Formular el Proyecto Ambiental Escolar –PRAE- en conjunto con la comunidad educativa para el Instituto San Carlos de La Salle Metodología: La Formulación del Proyecto Ambiental Escolar se constituyó como un proyecto de desarrollo, con un componente investigativo-descriptivo, implementando la participación continua de la comunidad, como actores principales en la identificación de problemáticas ambientales que les afecta; se realizó una encuesta semiestructurada (ES) que sirvió para el diagnóstico ambiental y una guía de preguntas dirigida a los grupos focales que proporcionaron diferentes soluciones a dichas problemáticas, por último se obtuvo un registro fotográfico que apoyó y complementó el diagnóstico ambiental. Resultados: Se conformó el Comité Ambiental Escolar y se estableció una guía de acción a partir de la formulación del Proyecto Ambiental Escolar, que orientó a la comunidad en la protección de los recursos naturales y el medio ambiente para ser implementada en la institución, dirigida por el Comité. Conclusiones: se pudieron priorizar las principales situaciones y se establecieron medidas que permiten mejorar las condiciones medio ambientales y fortalecer el desarrollo de la cultura ambiental en la comunidad educativa.
