Abstract

La educación para la paz constituye una herramienta fundamental para desarrollar una nueva cultura, la cultura de paz, cuyo principio básico sea la dignidad de toda persona, sea un proceder diario y dirigido al conjunto de la sociedad. El presente trabajo se dirige develar cuáles son los fundamentos teóricos y didácticos de la Educación para la Paz que se necesitan para la preparación de los docentes universitarios desde la superación profesional. Se parte de los fundamentos de la superación profesional como vía de desarrollo del intelecto y la actividad creadora de los docentes, se realiza un análisis de las definiciones y concepciones desde diferentes visiones de la Educación para la Paz, se asume una concepción de este término y luego se ofrecen algunas orientaciones relacionadas con los elementos que necesita el docente universitario para poder desarrollar este proceso en la formación inicial.
