Abstract

La educación universitaria en Cuba enfrenta a una serie de desafíos que le imponen el contexto socioeconómico mundial y de modo particular sus relaciones internacionales de integración y de cooperación con à frica, América Latina y el Caribe. El proceso de formación permanente de los profesores de Matemática y Ciencias no escapa de esta realidad, debido al reto que implica que este proceso permita elevar la competencia profesional, a fin de garantizar que la prestación de los servicios educacionales alcancen los más altos estándares internacionales. La formación permanente, desde el punto de vista social, está relacionada con los cambios que se producen en la sociedad producto de su constante desarrollo, en este trabajo se propone identificar los principales problemas en la enseñanza del inglés con fines específicos (IFE) durante la formación permanente de los profesores de Matemática y Ciencias, al mismo tiempo que se analizan los criterios de diferentes investigadores relacionados con el desarrollo profesional, la formación permanente y la competencias profesional de los profesores de Matemática y Ciencias.
