Redimensionar la educación musical. Una tarea multifactorial

Abstract

La educación musical de niños y jóvenes es un tema que aunque tratado en diferentes ocasiones, mantiene plena vigencia, ya que no ha sido resuelto, sino todo lo contrario. Se conoce que la introducción acelerada y progresiva de la tecnología ha influido de manera especial en el gusto y las preferencias musicales. Es cierto que no se debe imponer o prohibir, sino convencer y sensibilizar, sin embargo, es preocupante que en los últimos tiempos se observa cierto deterioro. Se trata de propiciar el desarrollo humano hacia su espiritualidad, a través del disfrute de la música. El problema no es solo de la escuela. El maestro ha de tomar partido, asumir los retos que le impone la nueva sociedad y educar en valores y contenidos socialmente aceptables y útiles, pero se necesita del trabajo mancomunado de todos los agentes educativos, dígase familia, comunidad y medios masivos de comunicación.
