Algunas consideraciones sobre la introducción de las tecnologías de la información en la educación

Abstract

El auge que ha tenido la introducción de las Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC) en la sociedad actual, exige la búsqueda de nuevas alternativas para lograr un óptimo aprovechamiento de estos medios en la solución de problemas docentes educativos. Con el objetivo de elevar la calidad y la eficiencia del proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje, se instrumentan desde hace algunos años en la educación cubana transformaciones sustentadas en la utilización de las TIC, sin embargo, no se ha logrado aún explotar suficientemente y de manera efectiva las amplias potencialidades de estos medios. En este artículo se describen las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación (TIC) así como su impacto en la sociedad y la educación de las nuevas generaciones.
