Evolución del profesorado universitario cubano. Periodización histórica

Abstract

Determinar el modelo profesional contextualizado del profesor de la Nueva Universidad Cubana (NUC) constituye el objetivo de una investigación más amplia a la cual este trabajo tributa, a partir del estudio de seis etapas históricas delimitadas por el autor, los precedentes histórico-sociales de la problemática enfatizando en el marco de cada etapa en el contexto histórico social, las características de la institución universitaria de la época y las cualidades del estudiantado. Con estos elementos se ha caracterizado al profesorado universitario correspondiente a cada una de las seis etapas socio-históricas analizadas, se han hecho generalizaciones acerca del papel del profesorado universitario en la formación de la nacionalidad cubana y se han buscado raíces históricas de problemáticas relativas al profesorado de la etapa actual del proceso de universalización de la educación superior.
