La Orientación Y La Tutoría En El Espacio Europeo De Educación Superior

Abstract

En el Espacio Europeo de Educación Superior (EEES) la orientación y la tutoría en la Universidad adquieren más importancia que nunca. Ahora los profesores deben guiar y tutelar a los estudiantes, además de dirigir el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje basándose en el aprendizaje autónomo de competencias profesionales y para la vida. La orientación y la tutoría en el EEES, como se pone de manifiesto en el Estatuto del Estudiante recientemente publicado, constituyen un derecho del estudiante universitario. La orientación debe estar integrada en el propio proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje y para que eso sea posible los profesores universitarios deben asumir un nuevo rol (y los alumnos también) y estar adecuadamente organizada. Es en este contexto en el que adquieren gran importancia el servicio de orientación y el Plan de acción tutorial (PAT). El presente artículo presenta la evolución de la orientación y la tutoría en la Educación Superior y aporta sugerencias acerca de cómo programarla, organizarla y aplicarla.
