Abstract

La profesión de enfermería, a través de la historia, se ha caracterizado por la capacidad para responder a los cambios que la sociedad ha ido experimentando y en consecuencia, a las necesidades de cuidado que la población y el sistema de salud han ido demandando. Desde siempre la enfermera(o) ha cuidado a las personas apoyándolas en las circunstancias en las que su salud puede verse afectada y en las cuales no pueden responder de forma autónoma o, promoviendo la salud y previniendo la enfermedad de los individuos sanos.
