Abstract

El niño y la niña desde que nacen poseen unas potencialidades cognitivas dispuestas a desarrollar, de cómo se desarrollen estas capacidades dependerá del tipo y del modo de interacción que mantengan con el medio ambiente. En este artículo vamos a analizar cómo el niño y la niña pasan de una inteligencia práctica a tener una inteligencia intuitiva, es decir, cómo puede alcanzar la capacidad simbólica, que es única de la especie humana. Del mismo modo trataremos cómo se produce el desarrollo cognitivo de los sujetos y cómo se trata este aspecto en el currículum de la educación infantil.
