Notas introdutórias à questão do controle social na uffs: preâmbulo a uma constituição

Abstract

A tarefa é novíssima. Nunca houve controle social sistemático e orgânico algum de caráter popular, democrático e emancipador sobre uma universidade pública no Brasil e alhures. Poucas no mundo são as experiências de controle social popular exitosas já promovidas. É notório que as classes dominantes dos estados feudal e capitalista exerceram e exercem ainda (no universo das revoluções burguesas conservadoras) controle político e ideológico profundo sobre as instituições públicas ou privadas de ensino superior. Mas este controle de classe nada tem a ver com a produção de ciência e cultura para o processo da emancipação humana. Ao longo dos séculos de vida da universidade, não é a partir dela ou nela que ocorreram as grandes revoluções que abalaram os fundamentos do Império Romano e seus vastos mundos à deriva até os tempos atuais [1].
