Reflexiones acerca de la presencia de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación en la cultura de los estudiantes

    En el entorno sociocultural de inicios del siglo XXI es cada vez mayor la relación de los seres humanos con las llamadas Tecnologías de la Información y la Comunicación (TIC). Si bien es cierto que la preocupación por perfeccionar y agilizar la comunicación ha sido una constante en el hombre desde sus orígenes, no hay dudas de que a partir del auge de la cibernética, las ciencias de la información, las tecnologías de información, y las telecomunicaciones, se ha llevado a cabo un desarrollo espectacular en el incremento de la información, las posibilidades para procesarla, almacenarla y hacerla llegar a cualquier punto del planeta con una rapidez concebida solo como una fantasía en siglos pasados. Todo el soporte tecnológico que se ha creado para transmitir esa información avanza a un ritmo tan veloz que prácticamente se hace imposible darle alcance.
