Diseño de la página web de educación a distancia de la Universidad Tecnológica de Tecámac para personas con discapacidad. Una nueva herramienta de aprendizaje

Abstract

El uso de las nuevas tecnologías en materia de información y comunicación en la educación superior se ha incrementado en los últimos años, las cuáles han generado diversidad de beneficios tanto a docentes como alumnos. Sin embargo existe un sector que se mantiene relegado a este recurso, y son las personas con discapacidad, no obstante que de acuerdo a sus condiciones físicas y de salud se convierten en los principales beneficiados de la educación a distancia se han visto limitados por la falta en el diseño de los sitios web del sector educativo en México que les permita hacer uso de este recurso con las condiciones de accesibilidad necesarias para ellos. La Universidad Tecnológica de Tecámac actualmente no ofrece el servicio de educación a distancia, se esta diseñando la propuesta para su implementación en el año 2010 pero la propuesta pretende incluir los elementos necesarios para hacer accesible la página a personas con discapacidad como una nueva herramienta en el proceso enseñanza-aprendizaje
