El carácter identitario de las iniciativas artísticas populares en el País Vasco durante los años Setenta

Abstract

A lo largo de los años setenta se produjeron en el País Vasco numerosas iniciativas artísticas de carácter popular en las que pervivía, además de un espíritu de compromiso colectivo heredado de las propuestas creativas de las décadas anteriores, un deseo por definir una cultura que reflejara las características idiosincrásicas de la zona a través de las manifestaciones plásticas de vanguardia. Con todo, durante estos años, la incidencia de las mismas irá decreciendo paulatinamente y los artistas perderán su conciencia nacionalista e identitaria en favor de una estética individualista.
