Nuevas formas de pintar. Marlon de Azambuja y la transformación plástica del espacio urbano

Abstract

En la siguiente investigación abordo la expansión de la pintura hacia el espacio urbano y su hibridación con otras disciplinas artísticas, poniendo como ejemplo el proyecto “Potencial escultórico†del artista brasileño Marlon de Azambuja. En esta intervención el color, que es característico del género pictórico, delimita el espacio que ocupa y conecta a los elementos arquitectónicos del espacio tridimensional de la ciudad, rompiendo así los límites formales que definían al medio pictórico. La pintura, se aleja de la tradición de la Academia y se expande hacia otros géneros como la escultura y la arquitectura, además de desplazarse al espacio externo de la sala de exposiciones o de los museos para relacionarse con el espectador y la ciudad; así se puede ver en el citado proyecto del artista.
