Oratorio en los interiores domésticos en el Burgos del Setecientos

Abstract

La presencia de oratorio se detecta en un muy reducido porcentaje de los interiores domésticos de las viviendas del Burgos del Setecientos. En aquellos inventarios post-mortem en que se explicitan, de forma pormenorizada, las estancias que componían sus intimidades, únicamente en un 4 % de dichos documentos el escribano dejó constancia de su existencia y de los menajes y pertrechos que se acumulaban en su seno, así como su valor económico, tasado en reales de vellón. ¿Qué categorías socio-profesionales, qué hogares, a la postre, disponían de tan privilegiado espacio doméstico? ¿Se advierte, en su devenir temporal, un decremento o un incremento en su presencia a lo largo del Setecientos?
