Abstract

Este artículo analiza el trabajo de J. M. Giménez Botey en México, centrándose ya no en el discurso sociológico del exilio, sino en la obra producida por él en el país, abordando la transmisión de patrones artísticos que desempeñó y en cómo éstos coexistieron y se hibridaron con el bagaje iconográfico y cultural mexicano. Se valorarán tanto su labor como escultor y sus tareas de dirección artística en publicaciones del exilio, como su colaboración como ilustrador en proyectos editoriales mexicanos.
