Las Manifestaciones Artã Sticas De Una Ciudad Amurallada: San Francisco De Campeche, Mã‰Xico

Abstract

La ciudad amurallada de San Francisco de Campeche fue declarada patrimonio cultural de la humanidad en 1999. Durante la época colonial, el gobierno español construyó baluartes y fuertes para defender la ciudad ante los ataques de los piratas. Ahora, sus murallas y barrios son un legado que debe ser administrado correctamente para asegurar su conservación. El objetivo de este artículo es exponer el valor estético, histórico y social de las manifestaciones artísticas campechanas, el cual se ha dejado de lado para aprovechar la ciudad como destino turístico. Se incluye un apartado sobre el valor del patrimonio cultural inmaterial de la ciudad.
