Abstract

Desde el punto de vista de la sostenibilidad, las intervenciones en los espacios públicos mejoran los índices de vitalidad, confort térmico, identidad y conectividad urbana. En este artículo se exponen, desde la perspectiva del proyecto de investigación, la sinergia de los criterios sostenibles en los espacios públicos y la estética de los centros urbanos, como resultado del crecimiento evolutivo de la ciudad, el caso de estudio es la Zona 6 del Ecuador. Al principio presenta algunos antecedentes teóricos sobre la sostenibilidad de la construcción, después plantea el objetivo de la investigación y un esquema metodológico, estructurados en el contexto actual de la sostenibilidad en la construcción, y proyectado desde la ordenación urbana arquitectónica.
