Abstract

En este artículo se pretende señalar el chamanismo como un conjunto de técnicas que, por medio de la inducción de estados de conciencia alterada, permiten a especialistas rituales experimentar el contacto directo con ciertos imaginarios sobrenaturales. Mediante dicho modelo diversos investigadores han intentado explicar el arte rupestre como el producto (directo o indirecto) de las visiones chamánicas y las prácticas extáticas.
