Abstract

Examina las nuevas prácticas artísticas que utilizan dispositivos móviles de consumo junto a la tecnología GPS para crear obras geo-localizadas. Estas tecnologías permiten crear piezas virtuales a las que podemos acceder mediante teléfonos o tabletas dotados de GPS y el software adecuado. Las obras sólo son visibles para el público que conoce su presencia y el modo de acceso. Se describe la tecnología necesaria para este tipo de prácticas. Conectando el concepto de realidad aumentada con el interfaz de usuario tridimensional, partimos de la idea de realidad virtual imaginada por los escritores de anticipación para estudiar su materialización efectiva en el mundo actual y la revisión de su concepto.
