Arte y literatura. Elementos pictóricos en los siete libros de la Diana

Abstract

En su representación del mundo pastoril de Los siete libros de La Diana, Jorge de Montemayor emplea términos relacionados, comúnmente, con las artes pictóricas; temas pictóricos se intercalan en la prosa y en los poemas de la novela y abundan los elementos visuales, tales como color, luz, sombra y perspectiva. Esta tendencia a lo pictórico convierte a Montemayor en un escritor-pintor cuya obra se desarrolla siguiendo una estructura semejante al entretejido de diferentes temas en un tapiz.
