Abstract

La dimensión social alcanzada por el arte en los últimos treinta y cinco años de la historia de España requería de un análisis pormenorizado de los elementos que constituyen el entramado del mundo artístico en nuestro país. Este fue el objetivo establecido en el proyecto de investigación dirigido por Juan Antonio Ramírez, catedrático de Historia del Arte en la Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, una labor que en gran medida es una ampliación de un estudio ya iniciado en su libro Ecosistema y explosión de las artes, y cuyos resultados finales aparecen publicados en esta, sin duda, necesaria monografía. El acierto de la publicación se encuentra no sólo en el rigor de los datos, la profundidad del análisis o la novedad del enfoque de los distintos capítulos que componen la edición, sino en los propios temas analizados, algunos de los cuales puede resultar a los ojos del lector no especializado absolutamente desmitificadores del efecto aurático del arte con mayúsculas (¿acaso no participó Juan Antonio Ramírez a lo largo de su trayectoria investigadora de este objetivo?)
