Abstract

This study examined differences between parents of children with developmental disabilities and professionals regarding perceptions of the quality of psychosocial support and working conditions within the education and rehabilitation system. The sample compris 60 respondents (30 parents and 30 professionals). Data were collected using a five-point Likert scale and analyzed using an independent sample t-test. The results revealed statistically significant differences between the groups: parents more frequently emphasized insufficient social and economic support and the need for a greater number of treatments, while professionals highlighted systemic and organizational shortcomings. Parents evaluated cooperation and relationships with professionals more positively, whereas professionals expressed more critical views on the formal implementation of programs and available resources. The findings indicate the need to strengthen communication, enhance partnership-based relationships, and systematically improve working conditions to support the development of effective, accessible, and sustainable early intervention policies and programs.
