Abstract

The Rayone EMV, a monofocal plus type model, when implanted in eyes with high values of the kappa and/or alpha angles and diagnosed cataract, unacceptable refractive error, and amblyopia, allowed for good visual quality and visual acuity (VA) at distance and intermediate ranges. More than half of the 50 eyes studied also achieved good near vision without the need for additional correction. Its independence from pupil size means this intraocular lens (IOL) model has a universal application, similar to monofocal lenses, regardless of the refractive error being corrected, offering the potential for distance, intermediate, and even near vision.
