Abstract

Background: The management of Hormone Receptor positive (HR+) Human epidermal growth factor receptor 2-negative (HER2-) metastatic breast cancer (mBC) has evolved significantly with the advent of CDK4/6 inhibitors plus endocrine therapy (ET). However, the concept of visceral crisis remains clinically challenging and variably interpreted. To evaluate the use and perceived impact of the BVC Connect digital tool among Moroccan oncologists in identifying and managing visceral crisis in patients with HR+/HER2- mBC. Methods: A national cross-sectional survey was conducted via an online questionnaire distributed to oncologists in both public and private sectors. The survey assessed usability, clinical impact, and overall satisfaction with BVC Connect. Results: A large number of responses were collected, 92.7% from public sector oncologists. Over half were residents from major university hospitals. Nearly 90% of respondents were aware of BVC Connect, using it weekly on average. The majority found it easy to use (87.8%) and reported improved clinical decision-making (85.4%), especially in ambiguous cases (56.1%). Conclusion: BVC Connect is a valuable clinical support tool that facilitates the interpretation of visceral crisis criteria in HR+/HER2- mBC. It is widely used and well received by Moroccan oncologists, although it cannot substitute multidisciplinary expertise.
