Analysis of the Effect of Workload and Anxiety during the Covid-19 Pandemic on Nakes Performance with Work Stress as Intervening Variables at THB Bekasi Hospital

COVID-19 has greatly impacted the sustainability of public health services, including services in hospitals. In an effort to handle the pandemic by the government, hospitals are required to adapt quickly to the situation. The spread of the virus and the increasing number of positive cases that are getting faster day by day also make the bed capacity in hospitals to be full which will directly increase the workload of health workers coupled with the mental anxiety of hospital employees against the spread of the COVID-19 virus which makes the work climate full of stress. and concerns that result in a high turnover of hospital employees. This study aims to determine the effect of the workload resulting from the high number of patients visiting and undergoing treatment at the THB Hospital during the pandemic period and the anxiety arising from health workers caring for patients infected with the COVID-19 virus on the performance of the health workers themselves with work stress as an intervention variable. This type of research was conducted using a quantitative research approach. The population in this study were all health workers at THB Bekasi hospital who worked in the period from March 2020 to March 2021, totaling 100 employees. Based on this, researchers are trying to identify existing problems and challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic to be evaluation and learning material for hospitals, and researchers are compiling several recommendations to minimize disruption from the pandemic. COVID-19 and other challenges will then be faced in the future.
