Abstract
As a crucial ecological security barrier and strategic energy base in northern China, the development of green finance in Inner Mongolia plays a vital role in achieving the dual goals of ecological conservation and economic growth. Drawing on the region’s distinctive resource endowments and industrial structure, this study systematically examines the current status and development level of green finance in Inner Mongolia. The findings reveal that a foundational policy framework for green finance has been established, and the scale of green credit has shown steady growth. Nonetheless, several challenges persist, including a limited market scale, a narrow spectrum of financial products and services, and underdeveloped market infrastructure. To address these issues, the paper recommends strengthening governmental guidance and policy support, enhancing market infrastructure, and fostering innovation in green financial instruments and services. Implementing these measures will contribute to promoting a balanced and sustainable pathway for Inner Mongolia’s economic development and ecological protection.
