Abstract

Purpose - The purpose of this paper is to raise the issue of transition problems in organisations when employees are taken for granted. Design/methodology/approach - Satirical poem. Findings - Employers need to consider the risk of not dealing adequately with staff grievances. Originality/value - The paper addresses the negative impact on an employer of staff departure from the perspective of the former employee.
